Once again we will host a food pairing with Dutch Farmstead Cheese, from Farwell, TX. Teresa Mesman, owner, will begin the paring with a history and overview of her company – Dutch Farmstead Cheese & Gouda Ideas.
Following the overview, we will sample 6 different Gouda cheeses paired with 6 different Texas Hills Vineyard Wines. As a special treat, Teresa will introduce a new wine-infused Gouda made with our own Toro de TEJAS. Wow!
The paring includes six one-ounce pours of wine designed to perfectly complement each 1 oz cheese selection.
AND, the piece de resistance…Grilled Gouda Sandwiches!
Use any “left-over” cheese on your plate to make a grilled Gouda sandwich, plus a nice side and a sweet finish. Enjoy a glass of your favorite wine from the pairing with your sandwich and converse with your friends. Like we said…
