On Saturday, October 27 at 4:30 p.m. Texas Hills Vineyard will host a food pairing session with Dripping Springs Chocolate Company! We will be tasting 5 different chocolate treats paired with 5 different Texas Hills Vineyard wines, each tasting will include a square of Chocolate and a ¾ oz taste of a “paired wine”. Once we are through with the tasting, you select a glass of your choice of any wine served in the tasting, as you enjoy the company of friends that have just mellowed with chocolate and wine.
Afterwards chocolate bars can be purchased from Dripping Springs Chocolate Company for $4.80 each and 3 for $13.00; all selections will be available. We sell these Chocolate bars in the tasting room and, of course, we can ship them any time!
DRIPPING SPRINGS CHOCOLATE COMPANY is a family owned business with all members of the family involved in various aspects of the process. Several years ago they went on a family mission trip to Nicaragua. During this trip they saw the poverty and need for jobs to strengthen the economy. After much searching, discussion and evaluating the local markets in central Texas, they decided that a chocolate company using ethically sourced beans was a great way to support those local economies. At that point they started learning everything they could about chocolate and now share it with you!
