     March 5   Texas Hills Vineyard at Silver K Café ( Johnson City ) 7:00pm (limited to 50 people) Phone: (830)868-2911 to reserve $60.00 per person PLUS tax & Gratuity

    Appetizer - Butternut Squash Soup drizzled with White Truffle Oil

    Served with Due Bianco

    Salad - Mixed Field Greens with Toasted Walnuts, Gorgonzola Cheese & Fresh Raspberries tossed in a Raspberry Vinegarette

    Served with Sangiovese

    Entrée - Chicken Fried Lobster Served atop Arugula Mashed Potatoes with Roasted Vegetables

    Served with Pinot Grigio

    Dessert - Chocolate Decadence with a Chipotle Pecan Fudge Sauce

    Served with PORT Rubino or Orange Moscato (choice)

     March 8 – Texas Wine Road 290 – “BEEF Short Ribs & Wine Trail”visit Texas Hills Vineyard (Silver K), then Woodrose Winery (Woodrose Kitchen), then Becker Vineyards (Texas Food & Wine Gourmet) , then Torre di Pietra (Navajo Grill), then Bell Mountain Tasting Room (Bonterra), then Fredericksburg Winery (Hannah’s Restaurant), then Chisholm Trail (Cotton Gin).  All serving a unique recipe of BEEF short ribs prepared by the mentioned restaurants paired with a selected wine.  You will receive a recipe from the restaurant as to how the ribs were prepared – what a fun day!

     March 23 – Easter – CLOSED (one of our 4 days per year)

     March 29 & 30Foolish Food & Fun Wine – Every year we try to share with you the weekend before “April Fool’s Day” some strange food pairings with our wines.  Simple things that you may not think to have with wine.  It’s fun, so join us for some fun tasting!

     

    April 2008

     April 4, 5, & 6 – Wine & Wildflowers Wine Trail – Hayride in the vineyard to see the new growth on the vines, with instructions about growing grapes (pretending you are a grape) culminating at the “crush pad” where you are made into juice, then into the winery where we make you into wine, then into the tasting room where you taste wine.  Relax on the patio with a glass of wine & a selection of cheeses while taking the view of the blossoming vineyard.  Wine ticket holders receive wildflower seeds. 

     April 10 Austin Wine & Food Festival Luncheon at Spicewood Vineyards – great chefs (Silver K, The Falls, Cotton Gin, and Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill) with wine from outstanding wineries in Texas (Alamosa Wine Cellars, Brennan Vineyards, Spicewood Vineyards, & Texas Hills Vineyard).  Reservations REQUIRED

     April 19New Wine RELEASE Party – Join us for the release of two NEW wines; Kick Butt Cab (Texas Hill Country) and Syrah (Texas Hill Country).  We charge $25.00 for each ticket and you get: (1) a glass (5oz) of each of the new wines, (2) “Heavy” hors d’ oeuvre, (3) music by Drew Kennedy from 7pm till 10 pm (4) extra discounts on wines purchased that night, (5) free Logo glass to take home.  Reservations required, call early!
